department of the DRI plant consists of the following sections:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Incoming materials preparation area<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dehumidification of the concentrate<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Crushing and granulation of pellets<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Preparation of lime and coal<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Loading, which consists of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lime and coal loading<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Concentrate loading<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inspection<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lime and coal loading<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mold handling<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Product preparation area<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ash discharge<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sponge iron discharge<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Product crushing in a machine with three sections: feeder, jaw crusher, and hammer crusher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Briquetting<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There can be direct rotary or even multi-story kilns depending on the place of construction, with capacities of 5000 metric tons and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Refractory\/fireproof containers for loading iron concentrate are made of silicon carbide or materials resistant to thermal shock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Production process:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Raw materials that include powdered iron-ore concentrate (hematite or magnetite), oxide shell, soft pellet, coal and lime, are put into the dryer one by one to reach a humidity below 2%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After that, the containers are placed on the car and taken into the kiln, so that the materials will be reduced by coal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reduction time: 40 to 50 hours<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maximum temperature of the kiln: 1220 degrees Celsius<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reduction temperature: 1140 to 1180 degrees Celsius<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kiln pressure: controlled<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Material inlet temperature: ambient temperature<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Material outlet temperature: about 70 degrees Celsius<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DRI Kiln requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After loading, the materials enter the kiln and are placed in the three zones of pre-heating, reduction and cooling, so that the reduction takes place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tunnel kilns:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By controlling the quality of raw materials, it is possible to increase the grade of sponge iron to over 95%. This type of DRI is fairly resistant to self-heating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A briquetting machine can be added to the production line to change the product\u2019s density. The gangue can be reduced by a magnetic separator. The product can be used in the induction furnace after briquetting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Having a unit with a suitable capacity, the investment return time is less than three years.
